A MUST READ: SIX SECRETS TO BEING FINANCIALLY SUCCESSFUL
What do financially successful people think and do to accumulate wealth and achieve financial peace of mind? Their secrets have nothing to do with being born privileged or suddenly inheriting a fortune.
Adopt these six strategies, and you too can achieve financial freedom.
1. Create attainable dreams
Having a dream gives you something for which to strive. The key, however, is that the dream is reachable. A difference exists between daydreaming about living in a mansion “someday” with dozens of servants and pinpointing an actual neighborhood in which you want to live, with a valid plan for saving money to meet the goal, even though it may be a stretch.

losing their brand essence.

Kenyan mall ablaze after terrorists 'blow themselves up' + names of terrorists and victims
Witnesses described hearing four large explosions at the Westgate Shopping Centre followed by fierce gun fire after the military tried to break the three day siege by gaining access from the roof.
It is feared that some of the gunmen inside may have blown themselves up, though a Kenyan government minister said that militants had set fire to some mattresses in a supermarket as a decoy.
INCREDIBLE see what sugar can do in human system within 60MINS

1. In the first 10 minutes: 10 teaspoons of sugar hit your system. (100% of your recommended daily intake) You don't immediately vomit from the overwhelming sweetness because phosphoric acid cuts the flavor, allowing you to keep it down.
2. 20 minutes: Your blood sugar spikes, causing an insulin burst. Your liver responds to this by turning any sugar it can get its hands on into fat. (And there’s plenty of that at this particular moment).
3. 40 minutes: Caffeine absorption is complete. Your pupils dilate; your blood pressure rises; as a response, your liver dumps more sugar into your bloodstream. The adenosine receptors in your brain are now blocked, preventing drowsiness.
4. 45 minutes: Your body ups your dopamine production, stimulating the pleasure centers of your brain. This is physically the same way heroin works, by the way.
5. (a) 60 minutes: The phosphoric acid binds calcium, magnesium, and zinc in your lower intestine, providing a further boost in metabolism. This is compounded by high doses of sugar and artificial sweeteners also increasing the urinary excretion of calcium.
(b) 60 minutes: The caffeine’s diuretic properties come into play. (It makes you have to pee) It is now assured that you’ll evacuate the bonded calcium, magnesium, and zinc that was headed to your bones as well as sodium, electrolytes, and water.
(c) 60 minutes: As the rave inside you dies down, you’ll start to have a sugar crash. You may become irritable and/or sluggish. You've also now, literally, pissed away all the water that was in the Coke. But not before infusing it with valuable nutrients your body could have used for things like hydrating your system, or building strong bones and teeth. This will all be followed by a caffeine crash in the next few hours. (As little as two if you’re a smoker) Want to know what happens after that?
Check out what happens to your body after you drink a coke, every day for a long time. Coke itself isn't the enemy here. It’s the dynamic combo of massive sugar doses combined with caffeine and phosphoric acid, which are found in almost all sodas - See more at: http://www.gistplanet.com/2013/09/what-coke-does-to-your-body-in-60.html?utm_source=feedburner&utm_medium=feed&utm_campaign=Feed%3A+Gistplanet+%28GISTPLANET%29#sthash.CAPIIK5r.dpuf
REASONS WHY ASUU VOWS to continue strike, blames prof. julius NUC boss riot in in nigeria universities.
(ASUU) has blamed the rot in the Nigerian university system on the Executive Secretary of the National University Commission, Julius Okojie, saying his failure to insist on quality has bastardised Nigerian universities.
The lecturers also vowed to continue their strike unless the federal government honours the 2009 agreement it had with the union.
In a statement signed by its University of Ibadan branch chairman, Olusegun Ajiboye, ASUU renewed its call for the scraping or a total overhaul of the regulatory institution if the nation wishes to get it right in university education management.
While calling on the National Assembly to beam its searchlight on the activities of the NUC, Mr. Ajiboye said the recent NEEDS assessment report on universities reflects how much the commission has failed in its duties as a regulator.
According to him, the report undertaken by genuine academics contradicts NUC’s accreditation exercises which gave ‘controversial’ clean bill of health to most universities through “magomago accreditation.”
The union contended that only in a society like Nigeria would Mr. Okojie still remain in office after being heavily indicted in the report, saying “in sane climes, the NUC boss ought to have resigned through the revelations made in the NEEDS assessment report.”
Mr. Okojie had, last week, absorbed his commission of any wrongdoing in the rot plaguing public universities in the country, particularly as regards undeserved accreditation, blaming members of the ASUU instead.
Mr. Ajiboye, who described the statement credited to the NUC boss as ‘careless’, accused Mr. Okojie of using his cronies who can do his biddings to embark on accreditation.
He said the success of the 2011 elections was based on the patriotic zeal and contributions of genuine and patriotic ASUU members nationwide saying that was why the election was free of hanky-panky recorded in past elections.
The ASUU statement titled ‘Where Okojie Got It Wrong,’ insisted that the NUC boss is fond of using his ‘yes sir’ boys to do hatchet jobs during accreditations, thereby compromising quality most of the time.
The union said its almost three-month-old strike is fully on, adding that the it would not allow itself to be fooled again with ‘promisory notes’ of the federal government which had never worked in the past.
“ASUU cannot be blamed for NUC ‘magomago’ accreditations. Rather than blaming the Union, Okojie should take full responsibility for all the fraudulent deeds in the NUC, including the work and eat accreditations.
“The NUC knows the kind of academics they select for their ignoble exercises. These are cronnies of the big man in the NUC. They can never say no to his biddings. Nigerians should be proud of ASUU in it’s efforts at repositioning public universities in the country. One of these major efforts is the NEEDS Assessment Document.
“This was a product of a rigorous academic exercise carried out by dependable and credible members of our Union. Unlike the numerous faulty accreditation reports which had given these universities clean bill of health, the NEEDS Assessment Report stands out as a classical document of reference detailing the rot and decay in public universities in Nigeria. All well meaning Nigerians can see the contrast between okojie’s ‘packaged accreditation reports’ and a credible job done by ASUU.
“It has become very clear from the Needs Assessment that Okojie and his cohort of accreditors have fooled this country for too long. Enough they say is enough. Time is now for the Government to beam a searchlight on the activities of the NUC.
“The Education Committees in both the Senate and House of Representatives have an arduous task to do here. Nigerians are calling for dismantling of an omnibus body that has done the country more harm than good. NUC must go.
“Professor Julius Okojie cannot absolve himself from the rot in the university system by regulating quantity instead of ensuring quality delivery,” ASUU said

revealed!!!!!! bev at it again - “God Knows, I Wanted To Be a Reverend Sister Before BBA” – Beverly Osu - See more at: http://www.gistplanet.com/2013/09/god-knows-i-wanted-to-be-reverend.

In a recent interview on Abuja, she talks about life before the house and what her future plans her.
Life before Big Brother:
Before Big Brother, I was into entertainment. Big Brother Africa was just a platform for me to do what I wanted to do. Before now, I wanted to be an actress, I wanted to be a reverend sister, but things did not just work out the way I planned it.
Being a controversial housemate:
Going to the house, I didn’t have any plan or strategy. I just went in there. While in the house, I used to be blunt every time, it used to be me living my normal life. The controversial side, I don’t know because I used to be a very sweet person.
On how she was never up for eviction:
I didn’t do anything. I know that people picked my name but I wasn’t bothered because I also got to pick one or two people. I knew when Natasha or anybody else picked me for eviction but I understood it was just a game. However, I was generally liked in the house because I’m a people’s person.
On her relationship with Angelo:
Me and Angelo were so business minded people, we think alike, we do a lot of things together. We have projects we are working on together so, it was much like we went to BBA as individuals but we didn’t come there to mark time. And now, we have a platform we have to use. Now, he is in his country but when there is something to do, we will go together. It is not that we won’t have our time but it’s more of the business because we all came for something in our lives and since we have gotten the opportunity, we should use it right.
Her future plans:
School, my career-acting, so many things in next year let me feel I’m not sure what to say next because my voice is Ok - See more at: http://www.gistplanet.com/2013/09/god-knows-i-wanted-to-be-reverend.html#sthash.zDSe4oDF.dpuf
FOLLOWING TRADITION: Cheating Couple Made To Walk Naked To Cleanse Land In Benue (PHOTOS)
The woman pictured in the above photograph, is said to be the wife of a popular school proprietor in the area which draws students from Benue as well as neighbouring Enugu and Kogi states. She lost her husband on Tuesday, and was accused by her husband’s people of having committed adultery which she admitted she was guilty of.
Further revelation by members of Orokam stated that there is an oracle called “ALEKWU” in that town which punishes married women that cheats on their husbands and also deters people from committing atrocities. The Oracle supposedly issues out a warning to the husband of any adulterous woman of which if he fails to take appropriate actions or return to the village from wherever he is to perform the proper rites for cleansing himself and his family, he will die. More pics after the cut:
“This was the case of the proprietor as he failed to adhere to the instruction of the oracle” a villager revealed.
In a bid to cleanse the land of their atrocity as well as appease “Alekwu” not to kill her and the person she committed adultery with (pictured above), they were both asked to walk round the market naked by the village elder. They were not to be touched or harmed by anyone.
She was afterwards sent packing to her father’s house and banned from attending the funeral of her husband. What is your take on this?
REVEALED - Genevieve And I Are Not In A Sexual Relationship, We Are Just Good Friends - Ella Martins
Genevieve is a very good friend of mine...we met way back in 2004 and we have been good friends since then. The story that we are lovers must have come from another female friend of hers. I am saying this because since 2004, there have been no such lesbian stories but suddenly it sprung up.

There was a time during my visit that we both went to see a friend in a hotel in Lekki and people saw us going in. We later went clubbing that night with the friend and which I think is a normal thing for girls to club if they want to. But that was when the rumours got worse, that we went into the hotel to sleep with each other!!!
She said it’s not the first time the Press would label her a lesbian but she has developed a thick skin and so it doesn’t bother her because she knows she is not a lesbian!
Genevieve and I have known each other since 2004 and she really is a nice person if you get to know her. We talk on phone a lot and we discuss life's issues like normal girls do...she is a wonderful person.I guess it’s because she is a famous person that some undesirable elements want to tarnish her image...and mine too. The Press make things worse too. There was a time I performed with Tony Tetuila and there were rumours after then that we were dating. But I just want to emphasize here that Genevieve and I are not in any form of sexual relationship, we are just good friends

Famous Ghanaian poet, Kenyan president's nephew among those killed in mall attack

Over 1,000 people have so far been evacuated from the mall, but an unknown number of hostages are still inside with the terrorists believed to be about 15. Kenyan security forces have been locked in a standoff with gunmen since yesterday. Gun shots have been heard all morning in the area.
Heavily armed men pulled up in several cars yesterday and shot their way into the most upmarket shopping centre in Nairobi, ordering Muslims out if they could prove their religion by reciting a prayer or answering a question on Islam. They started killing those who failed the test.
BBC reported that at least one of the attackers was a woman who had some kind of leadership role
