‘We’ve had sex!’: 10 dreadful reasons to propose
Do you believe that you cannot spend your life without her? If you are not sure about these questions then hold your horses.
1. She is niceOh yes she is but then so are the fifteen hundred other girls you know. Don’t jump into arelationship just because you think she is a ‘nice’ girl. Maybe you just find her nice because you do not know her well enough. Maybe after you commit to her you will find another girl who turns out to be ‘nicer’? What will you do then? It’s great you find her ‘nice’ but it will be wiser if you just hang around and wait a while longer till you find for ‘the best’ one.
2. We have known each other for long
It’s really wonderful that that the girl you fell in love with when you were 15 is still around you. You are 25 and yeah it’s been 10 years of ‘togetherness’ and all that mush. Wake up dude you don’t need to propose to her just because of this. Logically this may be the next step but it is not the only step. Time is not ‘the’ factor to determine whether you should propose to her. Do you really want to spend the rest of your life with her? Do you believe that you cannot spend your life without her? If you are not sure about these questions then hold your horses.
3. Mommy likes her
Yeah she is everything your mother dreamed of in a bahu. You father would be proud to have the talented girl as his daughter-in-law. But in the end it is you who has to stay with this girl all your life and not your parents. So think about it.
4. Her family is wonderful
Her family is great. You get along famously with her banker father and financial consultant brother. Her cute sister has already found a good brother in you. The girl’s mom adores you and pampers you silly. You love this family. But this cannot be reason enough to propose to her. Just like the above mentioned point – it is you who has to stay with the girl forever. Her family may not be there all the time.
5. We have had sex!
You both have been physically intimate and have had a perfect time together between the sheets but that cannot and should not be the only reason you get married to her. Just because you slept together does not mean either of you are bound nor does it mean you are perfectly compatible to lead a married life. Marriage has a lot of responsibilities and till you find the girl who can share it all with you should wait. You are both adults and need to sort it out in a level-headed manner.
6. She earns a lot of money
If the green dollar or rupee sign is all that is visible in your eyes when you see her then you should review this. Just because she is rich should not be your reason to propose to her. Unless of course if you are a gigolo who had already sold himself and does not care about a lifetime of servitude.
7. All my friends are doing it
Yeah you are around 33 and most of your friends are already engaged or married. But that should not be a reason to propose. Trying to keep up with your friends and trying to fit in may land you in trouble. What if you just could not get along with this girl you propose to in a hurry now?
8. She wants me to
How long will this last if your only reason to get married is that she want you to? If you are not convinced at all about this, then the relationship will crumble away after a while. If she is the one forcing you into matrimony then you can be sure she will force you into doing things you will probably hate all your life! Steer clear, bro!
9. She is my best friend
Yes you are lucky that you have her in your life and she is the best friend that you have had. But your must remember that marriage is not just about friendship. It needs a lot more. You can make your wife your best friend but trying to make your best friend into your wife may not work that well.
10. I think I want to get married
Respect the institution of marriage. Jumping into matrimony and then in a few months jumping right out of it into a messy divorce is not the way to go. Being in a hurry to tie the knot may knot up your entire life in a bad way. So, wait till you find the right woman before you pop the question.

XPOSED: How Caleb University Guy Rapes Two Lagos Babes Through Blackberry
But rather than take them to an eatery as anticipated, he would take them to an uncompleted building in Ikeja Government Reserved Area, Lagos, where he used them mercilessly.
Nemesis caught up with Ugochukwu after one of the girls he raped in that manner, who found out she used to be his senior in secondary school, decided to take action.
She reported the 22-year-old undergraduate of Caleb University to the Police, leading to his arrest and he has been arraigned for allegedly raping the lady in an uncompleted building.
He was granted bail and Oguchukwu went ahead to rape another Lagos babe. He is now facing a four-count charge preferred against him by the Police before Magistrate Sule Hamsat. Surprisingly, when the charge was read to him, Ugochukwu pleaded not guilty. Magistrate Hamsat granted him bail in the sum of N100,000, with two sureties in like sum. But despite the expensive car he drives, he could not meet the N100,000 bail bond, hence he was remanded in prison custody.
According to the Police, “Immediately he raped any of his victims, he would delete their contacts from his BB chat." The first lady he raped has decided to withdraw from to case to protect her identity, but the latest lady he did it to on August 27, 2013, is said to be ready to pursue the case to conclusion.

Japheth Omojuwa: It’s time to test this democracy
We
will march to the National Assembly in Abuja and demand that this
script of injustice be re-written to fit into the order of justice. We
will raise our voices and scream for their often seemingly deaf ears to
ear. We will be peaceful but our faces will not look it.
Today’s piece is not as much an article as it is a series of tweets
to kick start our online campaign for the National Assembly
protest. This has been a long time coming but it is finally here. The
National Assembly has to decide whether they are there to serve
Nigerians or Nigerians are slaving to serve them. On resumption
yesterday 17th September, they were true to type, fighting like touts,
breaking things and tearing themselves. If that was because of their
passion for Nigerians we’d understand, it was about their politics not
our people. They earn full pay, more than all Nigerians in public
service minus those like them, yet take 7 weeks’ holidays and several
other breaks in-between. Constitutionally, they are supposed to be
representing all Nigerians, in reality, they have mostly been
representing themselves. It is time for Nigerians to demand justice and accountability from the National Assembly. It is time, especially for our generation to call an end to this bullshit. Yes, lets call this seamy, nauseous bullshit what it is and not try to sweeten it by calling it any other name. It is time to state categorically, this must stop! Over the years Nigerians from every walk of life have spoken out loud against the humongous, gargantuan pay of the National Assembly, articles have been written and papers have been presented. Numbers have been quoted and discredited. Tweets and Facebook quotes on this issue will fill many libraries. Yet nothing has changed. It is time to force that change, it is time to step out on the streets of Abuja and with support protests across Nigeria, to call an end to this madness.
We cannot continue to do the same thing over and again and expect a different result. To make change happen, we must be ready to test all the tools legally available to us. The National Assembly’s budget rose from about N50 billion during the ex-President Olusegun Obasanjo years to N150 billion today. They will give countless excuses for that astronomical rise, what they will not give is justification. At what cost is this rise to the mostly poor people of Nigeria? How can billionaires represent people whom for every ten of them you see, seven of them are poor? How can they collectively have N150 billion appropriated to them when all the schools in Nigeria under the Federal Government including Unity schools, Federal Universities and all Federal institutions and staff of the Ministry of education have just about N450 billion allocated to them? If they were representatives of the people, they’d by themselves move to drastically slash their pay. That is the right thing to do in the face of poverty that has hit the Nigerian people. We have work to do and this is where to start.
We will march to the National Assembly in Abuja and demand that this script of injustice be re-written to fit into the order of justice. We will raise our voices and scream for their often seemingly deaf ears to hear. We will be peaceful but our faces will not look it. We will not be spoiling for war but our bodies will not appear as for peace. All we are saying, something drastic has to be done about the pay of our legislators and we have put the numbers out in clear terms. Please follow the hashtag #OurNASS on Twitter and Facebook for other information on this matter. It is time to make our voices count. If this is truly a democracy, as they’ve been earning its democratic dividends at the expense of the people for over 14 years now, this is the time to test the veracity of this democracy. No party has been exempted from the thoughtlessness of the National Assembly, they are all in it to take it all. It is time for us Nigerians to take our collective destiny in our hands. If we do nothing, nothing will happen. If we rise up and collectively demand change, something may happen. The difference between “will” and “may” could be the difference between having more mothers die in pregnancy, it could be the difference between having more children out of school – the world’s highest already, it could the difference between retaining one of the world’s highest child mortality rate – one of the world’s highest, or changing the Nigerian script by just saving ourselves some extra billions of Naira from the pay of our supposed representatives.
It is time. In our quest for justice for ourselves and generations unborn, we will not tire, we will not falter, we will not fail! Follow #OurNASS on Facebook and Twitter for more. It is time to make our own representation count if they can’t make theirs.
